The Studios & The Engineers

-The Shenandoah Records “Tracking Room” recording studio is located in a dedicated 1,000 sq. ft. facility, our studio features a professional control room and a spacious live recording room built for performance. 

The studio is owned and operated by Shawn Smith, a seasoned producer with a BA in Music Production from Berklee College of Music. With over 20 years of experience behind the board, Shawn has shaped the sound of numerous projects and he's dedicated to helping musicians in the valley achieve their music dreams.

-The Shenadoah Records “Mix Den” mixing and mastering room is owned and operated by Tim Farris. Tim has spent a lifetime at the heart of music production. As a recording and broadcast engineer for the Grand Ole Opry and The Nashville Network, he has sat behind the console for virtually every icon in the genre—from Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton to Keith Urban and Martina McBride.

With a career that spans formative years at legendary Masterphonics Studios, to tours with superstars like Clint Black, Diamond Rio, and Patty Loveless, to album and video projects for Brad Paisley, Tracey Lawrence and the Ken Burns’ documentary Country Music, Tim brings an elite level of technical precision and artistic intuition to every project. Now, through Shenandoah Records, he is offering decades of major-label experience to help a new generation of artists realize their creative dreams.
